Naisei · 内省 · a weekly reflection ritual
Your week, woven into a story.
Fifteen minutes of reflection, once a week. On Friday night, AI weaves your words — and the words of strangers writing through the same week — into one story. It arrives over the weekend, read aloud, with a picture.
Reflect alone. Never be alone in it.
Free plan available. No credit card required.
Weekend Reflection Circle
This is what comes back.
A few strangers each wrote for fifteen minutes about their week. This is what came back to them that weekend — press play. Next Friday, the story could have your week inside it.
The Chain on the Lamp Room Door
Every week's story is different, because its material is that week's words.
How the week works
Sit down with this week's theme and answer four questions at your own pace — about fifteen minutes in all. In the circle you go by an animal name, and no one else reads your answers.
AI weaves the week's words into one story. Join a live session — 9pm UK · 7pm Pacific / 10pm Eastern — or skip it; if you wrote during the week, your words are in the story either way.

The story arrives with a narrated reading and a picture. Read it, choose the question that stays with you, and close the week with one small decision of your own.
Naisei: reflection with a shape
The four questions aren't improvised — they come from somewhere older. Japanese has more than one word for looking back. Hansei is reviewing your mistakes. Furikaeri is looking back on the day. And naisei — 内省 — is quiet introspection: turning inward, without judgment.
The circle is built on naisei. The week's four questions and the weekend's decision walk you through its five stages — so every week ends the way naisei should: not in guilt, but in one small decision.

What happened? — What did you feel? — How do you read it? — What does it mean to you? — What will you do?
The five stages are ORIMD, our framework extending ORID — a long-standing method of focused conversation — refined through years of in-person workshops.
Alone, together
A good shape makes reflection deeper — it doesn't make it last. Most reflection habits don't die from laziness. They die from silence: you write, and nothing ever writes back.
In the circle, something comes back. Your Tuesday doubt meets a stranger's Thursday resolve inside the same story — and your week reads a little differently afterward.

Private by design
No one reads your answers. The story is woven with identifying details removed — animal names, never real ones.
No feed, no performance
No likes, no comments, no audience to write for. Your words meet other words only inside the story.
A quiet deadline
Friday night comes every week. Knowing your words can be part of the story is reason enough to write on Monday. Four Fridays in, you have four stories — and a clearer sense of what your weeks keep trying to tell you.
